Individual Therapy

Cost & Insurance: $160 per 55-minute session.

I am taking insurance through the end of 2024.

If you need immediate assistance, do not feel safe, or are experiencing a mental health emergency, please go to your nearest emergency room or Walk In Crisis Center, call 988, or call 911.

Please note, I do not offer emergency services or have 24-hour availability.

Working With Me

I have the perspective “hurt people hurt,” and sometimes that hurt is experienced within the individual, and sometimes that hurt is acted out towards others. I utilize a trauma-informed lens, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR principles, and attachment theory in individual sessions to help clients discover their needs and triggers. This allows us to move forward with healing wounds, identifying core beliefs, and implementing self-compassion.

I am direct and kind in my approach, and I challenge clients from the perspective that therapy is hard work and it takes effort to change.

What is EMDR?

I am EMDR trained. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is a researched, effective therapy method proven to help people recover from trauma and other distressing life experiences, including PTSD, anxiety, depression, and panic disorders. EMDR therapy does not require talking in detail about the distressing issue or completing homework between sessions. EMDR therapy allows the brain to resume its natural healing process and is designed to resolve unprocessed traumatic memories in the brain. This therapy may be used within a standard talking therapy, as an adjunctive therapy with a separate therapist, or as a treatment by itself.

Good Faith Estimate

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees. Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least one business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure you save a copy of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprise or call 1.800.985.3059. This is effective 01/01/2022.
